wat po- bangkok

I had the pleasure of doing reviews on some of the best Spa’s and Thai Massage in Bangkok, working with The Minority Nomad while staying in Thailand.

Being a Physical Therapist, doing and studying different Massage techniques for more than 10 years now I know a lot about massage and how is a good one. I had being in tons of Spa’s around the world and what I found in Thailand it’s all about excellence, combination with the atmosphere of the places is the unique Thai culture about hospitality that makes you feel like a princess anytime you get into them. They treat clients with kindness and that makes this country so special to anybody who had experienced it.

As everybody hear, not all the Thai Massage given in Thailand are “happy ending” massage, there is serious places where you can have professional therapy without any sexual extra service. Off course there is also places for that but this review it’s about luxury Spa’s with one of the best offers you can find in Bangkok.

They were almost all great experiences and in all I had seen different details that made every experience unique and special. The overall impression about them it’s the unique Thai service quality, even in the small and not 5 stars spa’s they treat clients with excellence, it’s something the rest of the hospitality area in the world should learn about Thai people, they rule on it!

Here my favorites Spa’s in Bangkok.

Sometimes, you go to a place with some expectations and you get all of them and much more. In this case, talking about at Spa inside of one of the best five stars hotels in Bangkok, makes you think about perfection and the whole experience at this Spa was perfect and much more than I expected, from the therapy room to the professionals working on it.

The therapy room has everything you need for having a great experience there, big space, low light and materials as the whole Spa area, everything is very clean and new. With a Jacuzzi, two massage tables, a special floor mattress for traditional Thai massage, toilette and change room with all details every woman loves to have before coming back to the real world after a massage. They have a variety of products for your skin and hair in case you need!

This time I had a full body Aroma Wellness Massage followed by a traditional Thai Herbal Compress Massage. They give you disposable underwear and a robe, that as the towels they use they were soft and warm.

The therapist was professional and expert, I felt very comfortable since the very first moment I enter the Spa until the almost two hours of therapy finished.spa-100848

The therapy was one of the best experiences in spa’s I ever had, was full of details since I cross the Spa door until I left the place after having a great detox tea. People are very welcoming and after all, very professionals, so your senses and body are refill by energy after the detailed and wonderful therapies they give.

They offer special seasonal packages so keep checking their websites to see what they have for you when in Bangkok! (Read more at MN)

Kiriya Spa en LIT Hotel Bangkok

CHECK THE WHOLE REVIEW

spa-kiriyaIn the middle of the city of Bangkok there is an oasis, there is a place where you can have a moment just for you,  this Spa is the perfect spot to stop after your shopping or business while staying in the city.

Service was very friendly and respectful. First they explained all the treatments they have and I must to admit I was really impressed by the variety they have. They give traditional massages from different part of the country using traditional elements such seashells, wood sticks, herbal balls. As any professional place they ask you few health questions to know your condition previous to the treatment.

kiriya-spaI choose for that day one of the four different packages they have, the South Sea Secret Package, consisting in 130 minutes total, 50 minutes of the Coconut Refreshing skin, a body scrub with coconut oil and black sesame seeds, and a 70 minutes Hot Seashell Massage.

After all the oil and seeds all over your body you need a shower before the massage, so they have in the same room a toilette and shower to make everything easier for you.

The seashell massage was something I had never experienced before and was one of the best I ever had. The contact of the warm shells with the skin makes the muscles release the tension very softly and gently and gives a special pressure and contact that hands can’t give.

For people living in Bangkok they have special packages for several visits and membership for one year spa packages.

I always appreciate delicacy of staff and special attention on giving their clients a unique experience, they do it really well, I will happily come back to them. (Read more at MN)

Borisud  pure Spa Mode Sathorn Hotel Bangkok

CHECK THE WHOLE REVIEW

spa-borisudInside Mode Sathorn Hotel there is a place where you can find perfect way to relax after your work or shopping day, or before go party! First impression it’s a bright and clean space, modern and mainly decorated with white colors.

I had an Oil Signature  Massage called Pure So Swift massage, 60 minutes duration. A mixture between Thai Massage and classic Swedish techniques that makes a really pleasant experience. The massage was on a private room that had a private toilette with shower. Massage table very comfortable, stable and good size. They provide robe,  underwear and slippers and the room was prepared with perfect temperature, aromatherapy and low soft music. After the massage  they gave me tea and oatmeal cookies at the spa lobby!

The staff is very friendly and make me feel comfortable all my time at the spa.

borisud-spaMy experience at Borisud Spa was pleasant and it worth a visit if you are around that area of the city. After that you can enjoy the Hotel restaurant and take a coffee with great bakery!  (Read more at  MN)

Let’s Relax Spa, Grande Centre Point Hotel

spa-let'sTheir lobby is located inside the shopping Terminal 21, connected in his back side by the Grande Hotel Centre Point, from which it is possible to accede to his interior.

Decoration is simple and has low light that makes you feel in a calmer mood, the place is clean and the staff is attentive and cordial. The treatment I had is the type of massage that you receive when you are in the middle of your shopping and you want to make a pause and do not want to take off too many clothes for the treatment.spa-lets relax

The massage that I receive was the Dream Package, which consists of Feet Reflexology (45min), of Hands (15min) and Massage of back and shoulders (30min). The therapist was very attentive and demonstrated her knowledge during the treatment. So overall, if you’re tired for all the shopping at Terminal 21 it’s a good option to make a break at Let’s Relax Spa.

Natta Thai Massage

spa-nattaOutside the five stars hotels circuit I had found this small local place. Located in a non touristic area, on Sukhumvit 71 street, it became one of my favorites places to have a massage in Bangkok.natta

This place is the perfect combination between good service and price. The place it’s small but they have all to give you one of the best massages I had in the city. My option it’s always a one hour neck, back and shoulders massage; perfect for a traveler or backpacker tired body!

So this are the places I had enjoy more while in Bangkok, hope you can enjoy them too in your next visit to this vibrant city!
