A Luxury Hostel in Bangkok

When looking for a place to sleep, this days I’m more interested in staying in a place where I can have a warm vibe around, plus the opportunity to meet people, but at the same time be able to sleep in a quiet ambient and to work without people having a party around me.

When I was going to Bangkok I was expecting what mostly every first time traveler in Thailand have heard: noisy and dirty places.

It happens I was gladly surprised when I arrived into my hostel. My companion had already all set-up for my late arrival to the city so it was very easy to get there in a cab. I was overwhelmed with my first minutes in Bangkok and having all different kind of expectations about this place, and when we arrived I was so happy to find out it was such a clean, fresh and cool place!RefillNOW

Refill Now! Was built and designed especially for its purpose, and you find it out in every detail you put your attention to. A four floor building with glass wall to the outside gives it a lighted ambience (not great for black-out curtain lovers, as you’ll notice immediately when the sun goes up in the morning.RefillNOW

The ground floor is where the common areas are located and you’ll find an open-air and minimalistic decoration embracing the tropical nature and weather. And open terrace with comfortable couches with tables and plugs in every each of them. There is a small but fancy swimming pool that I really enjoyed after walking in the city or shopping in Chatuchak Market, makes it perfect to chill a bit and work on your tanning.refill now

Try to enjoy the awesome cuisine they offer at the restaurant, with Asian and western delicacies and also an impressive drinks menu and very good quality coffee.

The Rooms and dormsRefillNOW

Second and third floor are separated in women only and mixed dorms with 6 double banks at each side with a common toilet area.RefillNOWThey are very smartly designed so even sleeping in a dorm you can get some privacy in your own bed as well as a personal locker and power bank right on the top of your head. They also have separated air-conditioning for every section.RefillNOW

RefillNOWKeep in mind that in this common areas lights are community designed as well, so they turn off at 9pm.
At each floor there is four private rooms, perfect for couples. They are not very spacious but enough to keep your privacy, they don’t have a TV or any other facility but a desk and your private locker located outside each room.

RefillNOWThe fourth floor it is mainly for families as they have 2 lovely loft suites designed with walls-size windows and modern lighting, vintage furniture, TV, en-suite bathrooms.RefillNOW

What I loved more about Refill Now! It is you don’t need to worry about towels and linen, they provide them fresh and clean every day!

The Staff

The over-friendly staff will help you out of their way in everything you need and they also provide fresh iced water all day for their customers!

Best Hostel….or a Poshtel in Bangkok?

Refill Now is one of those hidden gems that you only find out when you are lucky to have recommendations from other traveler, as it is not located in a touristic area. One of the things I liked more about my home-out-of-home was its location. There’s a lively market just around the corner where you can get any local delicacy you can imagine!DSCN6042

Refill Now! Is for travelers looking for quality but keeping the friendly mood of a hostels, is Chic, but still cheap. It is a place not for backpackers but for travelers with backpacks, what it is called a Poshtel. It is located in a very local area and away from the city center.

How to Get There

To get there it will be very useful if you can show your taxi driver the address in Thai and a map (they do have one in their website) as it’s located in a small side street, actually called a Yak, which is a side street of a side-street, a Soi. Still, is very easy to move around and to reach local transportation and it’s specially easy to reach the Airport Link to get to the airport for only 30Bath.
