Did you know that you can now fly without Jet Lag  with the A350 ?

Perhaps one of the most uncomfortable symptoms for passengers when traveling long distances are related to the air quality inside the aircraft.

After some hours flying you have probably felt changes in your sleep rhythm, your skin turning drier and even headaches.

After overcoming 3000m (10000 feet) air pressure does not allow us to breathe independently so it is necessary to make a special cabin pressurization. The air quality and humidification inside the cabin changes after some hours and produces alterations in the circadian rhythms, on the skin, and even the respiratory system.

This year 2016, TAM Airlines, a member of LATAM Airlines Group has been a pioneer in incorporating a new aircraft to its fleet, being the fourth in the world to begin operating the Airbus A350 XWB, and the first in the Americas.

The merge of the two more experienced companies in Latin America and pioneer in the industry is a milestone in aviation, and they have set up the goal to be a world leader in this area. To reach this, they incorporate more modern aircraft to its fleet and unique in the Americas so far: LAN is the first to incorporate the Boeing 787 and TAM the first to operate the Airbus A350 XWB.

Even with the idea of sharing the joy, passion and the pleasure of traveling, LATAM has partnered with Disney and have designed a subject aircraft especially to connect with this destination. Very cute, right?

What’s so special about the Airbus A350?

We went on a trip to Manaus to meet the first Airbus 350 in the Americas with a group of aviation experts and travel bloggers from different South American countries.

The Airbus A350 is a new generation plane, which has been created with technology to reduce operating costs up to 25% less fuel, making it more environmentally friendly.

This relates to the idea of the current aviation companies to be less polluting and more democratic entities. Since the reduction in operating costs is reduced, they can offer best fares for passengers and allow more people to access their dream of traveling.

According to Ricardo Delpiano, a Chilean aviation expert and CEO at  www.desdescl.com:

“The A350 is part of a new generation of aircraft built for an industry that seeks to be more efficient, meet self-imposed environmental commitments and create conditions for air travel more accessible to everyone. I think that would be one of the protagonists of the new revolution in travel that is, allowing more people not only get further and more directly but also with a better overall experience. ”

The wider fuselage allows a better travel experience, as seats may be less narrow and more space between one row and another.

The A350 of LATAM has 348 seats, of which 318 are Economy Class and 30 in Business Premium, which was where I had the pleasure of travel… and recline to 180 degrees!

With the aim of giving greater passenger comfort, the Airbus 350 cabin is quieter than average and  seats are wider than average LATAM fleet. With 5.58 meters (220 inches) between the armrests of the seats in the same row, the cabin has seats with a width of 45.72 cm (18 “) in Economy Class and 62.99 cm (24.8”) in the Premium Business.

Ricardo Delpiano tells us:

As the manufacturer says, the A350 is the “Xtra” that makes the difference. A significantly larger cabin allowing the airline and the passenger to have greater advantages during the trip. While the airline benefits from greater options to configure inside and get greater economies, the passenger experiences a more suitable environment for space along, width and height of the aircraft, as well as better air circulation and higher humidity. “

How the A350 helps reduce Jet Lag?

Thinking deliver a better and more comfortable travel experience, the A350 XWB has a design that incorporates LED lighting that mimics the natural luminosity that allows 16.7 million different colors so you can create custom environments and more like what we live out of a plane, which helps reduce the imbalance that occurs in circadian cycles when traveling for long periods and times changing.
The body gets more tired when exposed to stressful conditions and the A350 makes everything to reduce that. The cabin of this aircraft refreshes the air every 3 minutes and held pressurized from 6000 feet, which is perceived in

The cabin of this aircraft refreshes the air every 3 minutes and held pressurized from 6000 feet, which is perceived in less dry skin and mucous membranes. This, for sensitive people are perhaps more perceived differences with other planes, even on a 4-hour short trip I could feel the difference.

A new and improved in-flight entertainment, to skip long flight hours

Those who have flown long hours know how good it feels to have many movies to see, articles to read or games to help kill the time.

The new image of LATAM includes the development of a modern onboard entertainment. What I liked most was the chance to see exactly where we were flying, as it includes a camera in the lower fuselage showing everything that happens under your feet.

The A350 model has large windows with a panoramic view larger 24% more than a common plane.

All this contributes to a better travel experience … quieter and less tired after a long journey … especially if you have the pleasure of flying as I did!
